Just months after going winless in Stage 1, KC completed one of the biggest turnarounds of the 2026 EMEA season, defeating Team Liquid 3-1 in the Grand Final at the Olimpic Arena in Barcelona.
The victory capped a remarkable Stage 2 campaign that saw Karmine Corp go from a 0-5 record to EMEA champions, with a place at VALORANT Champions 2026 in Shanghai as the region’s top seed.
The Comeback Started Before Barcelona
KC’s turnaround was already taking shape before Finals weekend.
After going 0-5 in Stage 1, they returned in Stage 2 with a 4-1 group-stage record before defeating Enterprise Esports 2-1 in the Upper Semifinal to book their place in Barcelona.

By the time KC arrived in Barcelona, the question was no longer whether they had turned their season around. It was how far they could take it.
Everything on the Line in Barcelona
By the time KC arrived in Barcelona, their Stage 2 turnaround was already well underway.
KC finished the group stage 4-1 before carrying that momentum into the playoffs, where their run brought them face-to-face with FUT Esports in the Upper Final.
A place in the Grand Final was at stake, along with direct qualification for VALORANT Champions 2026. KC delivered.
They took the series 2-0, winning Lotus 13-6 before closing out Haven 13-8 to secure their ticket to Shanghai for VALORANT Champions 2026.
After a Stage 1 campaign without a single series win, KC were now one match away from becoming Stage 2 champions.
One Final Battle for the Trophy
KC defeated Team Liquid 3-1 to complete an undefeated playoff run and lift the VCT EMEA Stage 2 trophy.
From 0-5 in Stage 1 to EMEA champions in Stage 2, KC had completed the comeback.
